The 1913 Voisin 2, also known as a Type L, was in service before the war began. They served briefly in a reconnaissance role before being replaced by the Voisin 3. [1]
Dux built Voisin L's for Russia using the 130hp Salmson radial engine, with gun positions to fire over the pilot's head and also over the top wing to the rear. [3]
