Thompson
Norman A. Thompson was an aircraft designer who focused on flying boats. Early on he hooked up financier Douglas White, as the White and Thompson company, but by October 1915 the company changed to simply the Norman Thompson Flight Company, Ltd.. The company built a series of useful (but short production run) flying boats that are largely forgotten today, partially because the company was liquidated in 1919.
Production aircraft from the Great War or shortly thereafter include:
- White and Thompson No.3 Flying Boat
- Norman Thompson Tandem Seater [note 1]
- Norman Thompson N.T.2B
- Norman Thompson N.T.4
