The Morane-Saulnier Type T was first designed in the winter of 1914-1915, first tested in late 1916, and first delivered in August 1917, where it was intended for long-range reconnaissance. Though 90 were built, they were scattered to various units and never formed a complete escadrille. Instead, they were used alongside planes such as the Caudron G.6, Caudron R.4, and Letords.
