A contract for twenty-four Lohner B.Vs (Series 16 or Type H) was placed in January 1915, but problems with the engine delayed delivery until April 1916. Being a year late, only six were delivered before the order was cancelled, and they were directed to training duties, where frequent carburetor fires led to them being grounded. [1]
