The Grigorovich M.15 was a development of the successful M.9 with smaller wings and less weight and a 150hp engine. The increase in power-to-weight ratio made the M.15 a useful flying boat, but it supplemented rather than replaced the M.9 in service. Most -- but not all -- were used as trainers. [1]
