Nine WD.12s were ordered by Turkey in August 1917, six with the Mercedes D.III engine and three with the Benz Bz.III.[1] The Turkish planes were transported by rail to Hungary, erected and flown to Bulgaria, and transported finally to Constantinople.[2]
