The A.R.2 was a version of the A.R.1 with a 190hp Renault 8Gd/Gdx or 240hp Lorraine 8Bb engine, smaller wings, and wing radiators. Like the A.R.1, they served from early-mid 1917 until replaced by better planes in late 1917. America purchased 120 A.R.2's, but for the most part they were replaced before entering combat.[1]
